Items of Current Interest

Chapter Bylaws

A vote on the draft bylaws was held pursuant to the process ratified at the September 2007 meeting. Use your browser's "Back" button to return from the links on this page.

Thirty-two ballots were mailed to the paid-up active members. Nineteen members responded with “Yes” votes, approving the bylaws. Eleven members did not respond. Two ballots were returned for unknown addresses.

The Bylaws having been approved by 19-0, the Bylaws are ratified and Chapter dues are now $15. Pay dues now. We will soon be culling the membership and mailing lists to eliminate those who are not paid-up members.

O.H.S. National Membership

The O.H.S. National Headquarters is concerned that many local Chapter members are not members of the national organization. We will have brochures and applications at our next meetings and encourage you to become a national member. If you are in a hurry to join, visit www.organsociety.org. Nearby national conventions will be held in Cleveland in 2009 and Pittsburgh in 2010, and these are very interesting, a lot of fun and present a perspective on pipe organs that is different from the AGO nationals.
